Gravity, sun exposure, and daily stress can affect the face over time, causing deep creases around the mouth, sagging jawlines, and neck folds with fat deposits. Procedures like facelifts address these issues by removing excess fat and tightening skin and muscles, restoring a more youthful and refreshed appearance. Here are some plastic surgery operations that can be done on the face:

    Facelift (Rhytidectomy)

A traditional facelift targets loose skin and jowls under the chin by lifting and tightening the underlying tissues and muscles, creating a rejuvenated appearance. For individuals with moderate sagging and early signs of aging in the lower face, a mini facelift is a more focused approach. It involves smaller incisions, resulting in a quicker recovery.

A mid-facelift addresses sagging in the central face, lifting the cheeks and restoring volume for a fuller, more youthful profile. The thread lift, a non-surgical option, uses temporary sutures to lift sagging skin, making it ideal for those with mild skin laxity. For longer-lasting and more natural results, a deep plane facelift reshapes the muscles and fat beneath the skin. When sagging skin and fat accumulate in the neck, a neck lift is especially effective. Individuals may combine this procedure with a facelift for a more comprehensive rejuvenation.

    Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)

Upper eyelid surgery corrects drooping skin that can impair vision, removing excess skin and fat to create a more refreshed appearance. Lower eyelid surgery addresses under-eye bags caused by fat accumulation or aging. This procedure smooths the under-eye area by removing or repositioning fat and tightening the skin. Individuals can combine blepharoplasty with other procedures, such as a facelift or botox treatment. This combination helps lessen the appearance of dark circles, crow’s feet, and wrinkles around the eyes.

These plastic surgery techniques enhance the eyes, making them appear more visible and defined. Revision eyelid surgery refines or corrects previous procedures, addressing any unsatisfactory results or complications. In transconjunctival blepharoplasty, the surgeon makes the incisions inside the lower eyelid, offering a less invasive option with no visible scarring. These procedures not only improve aesthetics but can also resolve issues related to vision obstruction and discomfort caused by excess skin.

    Brow Lift (Browplasty)

Brow or forehead lifts help improve frown lines between the eyebrows. They work to restore a youthful appearance by elevating and repositioning the brows. An endoscopic brow lift is performed through small incisions. It subtly enhances the forehead by lifting drooping brows and reducing wrinkles with minimal scarring. A coronal brow lift involves a larger incision across the top of the head, making it ideal for correcting severe brow drooping and deep forehead wrinkles.

A temporal brow lift targets the outer brows and elevates the sides of the forehead. It can be effective for addressing crow’s feet and mild brow sagging. The direct brow lift removes excess skin directly above the eyebrows. Plastic surgeons may recommend this plastic surgery procedure for individuals experiencing significant brow drooping due to aging. For a non-surgical option, the thread brow lift uses dissolvable threads to lift the skin.

    Nose Reshaping (Rhinoplasty)

Rhinoplasty corrects issues such as asymmetrical nasal shape, displaced septum, and problems with breathing through the nose. Plastic surgeons may use the procedure to remove a nasal hump, reshape a low or droopy nasal tip, or narrow a broad nasal bridge. Rhinoplasty can also help with correcting congenital deformities or trauma conditions.

During this procedure, incisions can be made intranasally or transcolumellar, which means through the tissue that separates the two nostrils. Once the incision is made, the surgeon lifts the skin to access the underlying structures. They sculpt the fat tissue and trim the bone and cartilage to give the desired shape. If further support is required, the surgeon may take grafts from other regions. Once the cartilage and bone are set, the surgeon repositions the skin and closes the incisions. A splint is then applied to help the nose heal and maintain its new shape.

Choose a Suitable Facial Plastic Surgery

Facial plastic surgery allows individuals to address cosmetic concerns or functional issues that may arise from aging, genetics, or trauma. These procedures can enhance appearance and combat signs of aging. When choosing a plastic surgery procedure, individuals should identify their goals and evaluate the long-term results of different procedures. Work with a skilled plastic surgeon to review suitable strategies for accomplishing your desired results.
